ISIS and “Christian” Extremists: Both of them are terrorist organizations.

Both groups want to murder millions of infidels so as to bring about the end of the world. Both groups cherry-pick their respective Scriptures to justify the evil acts they perpetrate upon others. Both are run by malevolent geniuses who are followed by  hateful, gullible, violent f***wits with room-temperature IQs. And both have useful idiots in the media who try to paint them as something other than what they are.

Let’s start with ISIS, (and let’s call them “Daesh”, because it is accurate, and because they hate being called by that name).

Pretty gruesome, you’ll agree. But not all that different from various “Christian” Millenialist groups (we’ll call them “Teavangelicals”, because it is likewise accurate, and they also hate being called by that name).

Teavangelicals think they should rule the world as a theocracy. Just as Daesh does:

Kingdom Now theology states that althoughSatan has been in control of the world since the Fall, God is looking for people who will help him take back dominion. Those who yield themselves to the authority of God’s apostles and prophets will take control of the kingdoms of this world, being defined as all social institutions, the “kingdom” of education, the “kingdom” of science, the “kingdom” of the arts, etc.

Teavangelicals want to re-enslave people (Women, people of color, etc). Again, Daesh also believes in slavery. Check out this quote from a Fundie:

That’s what Teavangelicals say about women. As to POC? Here you go, straight from the horse’s ass mouth:

And are Teavangelicals violent like Daesh? Yep. Click here to get acquainted with the many “Christians” who behead, rape, bomb, torture and assassinate anyone their diseased “brains” tell them to. Here and abroad.

This writer certainly has no love for Daesh. They are lunatic mass-murderers, among other disgusting characteristics. We cannot, however, pretend that they are any different than the Teavangelicals. We have at least as big a problem with the supposed “followers” of Rebbe Yeshua bar Joseph as we do with those who pervert the teachings of Mohammed (peace be on him).

Any Christian who wants to pretend otherwise should remember this little quote from their professed Lord and Savior in Matthew 7:

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

All terrorists are evil. All of them, regardless of motivation or religion. Look at them with clear eyes, and you’ll see it.

Wingnut Coke Heads across America are totally losing it. Over a friggin’ commercial.

The Freakout Machine is jacked all the way up for a flavored water commercial. And what these fools have to say is, as usual, a load of ignorant pig crap. No, now that I think about it, pig crap is at least good fertilizer, so the Right Wingnuts are even lower than swine poo. Here’s why:

Number A: America the Beautiful is NOT our national anthem. In fact, it is a poem that wasn’t even sung to its current melody until 1910, long after our nation’s Centennial. Oh, and it was written by a church-going lesbian college English teacher while she was on a vacation to Pikes Peak.

Letter 2: English isn’t really all that much of a muchness, so don’t get down on your knees worshipping it. The English language is a just a big, messy pile of words that were stolen from other, older languages. The two writers most responsible for its current form were an opium user (Chaucer) and a mystery man who remains unidentified to this day (Shakespeare). So don’t be getting all huffy if every human being doesn’t speak it 24/7/365.

Thirdly: switching to Pepsi because you don’t like multiculturalism or gay rights is beyond ignorant: PepsiCo is and has been a huge supporter of LGBT rights and marriage equality, and is run by a woman from India, assisted by a management team that includes men and women from all over the world, including Moslems. Yes, those swarthy “tarrist types” you love to hate. That’s who help bring us the Pepsi you were going to switch to: gay-friendly locals as well as foreigners who don’t all speak English as a first language.

Finally: If you’re really gonna boycott Coke, you can’t go to Chick-Fil-A, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Cracker Barrel, Papa John’s and a whole raft of other popular eateries. Because unless they let you BYOB, you’re gonna be drinking… yep, you guessed ‘er, Chester, Coke products.

Really, people, calm the f*** down, OK? Coke is just bubbly water with a load of tasty chemicals dumped in it. America the Beautiful is a nice poem that a church organist put to music. And in our capitalist system, companies make advertisements to sell us stuff (like bubbly drinks, f’rinstance). And the Super Bowl is the zenith of such American advertising (confession: your humble correspondent liked this one the best). So lighten up, Buttercup, it’s just companies making money.

The Bulls*** People Say About Barack Obama

A two-post day in honor of tomorrow’s election: this post about the Prexy, the other about the man who would replace him.  Each man has said some bull*** of his own, or course.  Today, Mr. Blunt and Cranky  shall talk about the stuff  that others say about them.  So grab your nose as we dive straight into the manure pile that is political “discourse” in these degenerate times:

“Obama will take away your guns”: there is no evidence of this. No laws, no proposals, no regulations have come from the White House on this topic during Obama’s time there. This bit o’cowflop comes from the people who make and sell guns and ammo: if you’re scared that the evil Obaminator will take away your guns tomorrow, why, you’ll buy lots and lots of them today. That means big bucks for the gun industry, and less money in your pocket.

“Obama is Bad for Business”: look at the numbers from Wall Street, Congress, and any other non-partisan business metrics indicator you care to cite. The numbers tell you the truth: The past 4 years have kicked a lot of ass for corporate profits, across all sectors.

“Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels”: America is now the world’s number-two producer of oil, right behind Saudi Arabia; we have drilled for so much gas the past three years, the price has hit the floor; and coal jobs are heading back up as we develop export markets for our black gold. If there were such a war, we wouldn’t see these numbers.

“Obama’s War on Religious Freedom”: absolute codswallop. ObamNeyCare does not infringe on the religious freedoms of American citizens in any way, shape or form. It does require certain religious organizations to obey the law, but that’s church hierarchies, not the rest of us. Natch, said hierarchies are screeching like demented, meth-addicted owls; but that’s them, not us.

And so on. So far as this writer can tell, the worst thing Obama has done has been to trust a lot of people he shouldn’t have.

When We Repeat our Mistakes, We Look Even Dumber

When Mr. Blunt and Cranky was but a wee lad, there were snow toys called “Snurfers” –  sort of a short surfboard with a rope handle attached to the front. Very fun, and very dangerous if used by the untrained on steep ski or sledding slopes.  One fine  Winter’s day, a perfectly average hormone-addled teenaged friend took his new Snurfer to the highest point on the highest hill in town, went essentially straight down a steep incline, lost control, and broke several limbs.

After said friend (we shall call him “Fool #1”) got carted off to the E.R.,  everyone left that Snurfer alone,  as no one else wanted to be encased in plaster after breaking their bones in the snow.  Everyone, that is, except for one amazingly stupid idiot who took the fallen kid’s Snurfer up to the same high place, took the same route down the hill, and broke his tailbone.  This resulted in Fool # 2 being humiliated for months as he carried his pillow to and from class, (to cushion his fractured kazoo as he was made to sit on the hard wooden and plastic chairs). Fool # 2 was judged far more harshly than Fool #1, because he had seen what had happened to Fool #1 and did the same dumb thing anyway. No excuse.

At that same time in America, it was unusual to see black and white couples together, much less married – such behavior was discouraged.  Reams of “evidence” were produced in support of this and other racist ideas; “evidence” that turned out to be junk science, brainless balderdash, and similar worthless dreck.  In spite of the lack of rational basis for laws against “interracial marriage”, said laws remained on the books for far too many years, and (in some parts of the country) were unofficially enforced even after their repeal, by evolutionary throwbacks and bitter old church ladies.

Humans being humans, the same sort of tripe is being used today, to oppose the rights of gay Americans to wed. Now as then, we hear silly-arsed theories presented as “facts”, junk science, homophobic horseflop and other “evidence”; all in the service of alienating from legitimate U.S. citizens their allegedly inalienable rights.

Regardless of whether the opponents of marriage equality are stupid, venal, or ignorant; whether they are acting in a thoughtful or thoughtless manner; and whatever their motivations may be, one thing unites them all: they are repeating mistakes made by similar people in the past, and are paying no attention to what happened to the fools who came before them. They can easily see what happened in the past when the same stupid thing that they are doing now was done; but they are doing the stupid thing anyway.

By refusing to learn from history, they willfully choose to be stubbornly ignorant: and by so choosing, look even dumber than their predecessors. Just like Fool #2 and his borrowed Snurfer.
