Tehran Tom Cotton was Bribed almost a Million Bucks to Send the Iran Letter.

Yep. Tehran Tom got a ton of “contributions” from agents of a foreign power to betray his country. He and the rest of the Teapublican Treason Team all took Israel’s side against America’s, but Tehran Tom the Traitor Tot got paid nearly a million dollars to do so. Perhaps the other Teapubbies got such bribes as well, but we have the goods on Tommie:

Kristol’s Emergency Committee for Israel gave Tom Cotton nearly $1 million in his race for the Senate just five months ago, Eli Clifton reported. “Cotton received $960,250 in supportive campaign advertising in the last month.”
Cotton also got $165,000 from Elliott ManagementPaul Singer’s hedge fund. Singer is the billionaire who is trying to stop Obama’s Iran talks (Clifton’s reporting again).

Notice the pattern, Gentle Reader: money comes in, and a letter goes out. It is bribery, plain and simple.

Perhaps the other 46 Senators who tried to kneecap the Prexy with their illegal letter weren’t likewise bought by agents of a foreign nation, which if true could be at least some scant mitigation for their crimes. Scant but something. Tehran Tom was bought and paid for by another government than ours: and their interests are not the same as ours.

What else do we need to prosecute this f***ing traitor? This ain’t just the usual Racist Repub hatred of our black President: it is clear-cut espionage, betrayal of our nation, Judas-like behavior (without Mr. Iscariot’s subsequent remorse).

Teapublicans: Wiping their A**es with the Constitution.

Seriously, what else can explain their actions of the past 35 years, since the Reaganistas took over a formerly rational political party? Consider these few examples of many:

Number A: Teapublicans in Congress are openly sabotaging negotiations between the USA and a hostile foreign power, even though the Constitution says that foreign policy is in the Executive Branch’s portfolio. So Boehner’s invitation to Bibi to “address” the Congress is more than just another of his drunkard’s hissy-fits: it violates the Constitution. Not that he is any stranger to extra-constitutional actions, of course. Look at his actions as they relate to women’s rights, minority rights, voting rights, and so on: Boehner and the rest of his party are actively breaking the law, based on an illegal premise, for an illegal purpose.

Letter 2: Teapubbies are a load of “Christian” evangelicals who want to trash the Establishment Clause and set up a Theocracy. They claim that this is a Christian nation, even though the law pretty clearly says otherwise:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.[1]

Thirdly: Teapubbies are frequently Secessionist scumballs. Such as the seditious “Republic of Texas”, the Southern National Congress, and the League of the South, to name but a very few.

All of these groups and people are Right-Wing Teabaggers, Libertarians and Teapublicans. None of them are Liberals. And all of them obviously hate America and its Constitution. By their actions we know them.

Likewise we know that people who vote for Teapublicans also support sedition, legislative overreach, and religious totalitarianism.

What’s that you say, dear “Republican” voter? You claim that you support the Constitution?

Bull-f***ing-s***. When you vote for a person or party that treats the law of the land like a**wipe, you support that treatment, as surely as if it were your own toilet into which the soiled Constitution got dropped and flushed away.

Benjamin Netanyahu can’t tell fantasy from reality. Ignore him.

Just a few hours ago, Ol’ Bibi (yes, he really likes to be called that) denounced the preliminary deal with Iran. You might not see that as a problem: after all, Iran has threatened to annihilate Israel on more than one occasion. So, perhaps Bibi is not talking s***?

Nope, he’s talking s*** all right: you see, back in October, right after the takahe started, Mr. Netanyahu denounced “the deal” as “a bad deal”… when there was no deal. That’s right, the Israeli Prime Minister was denouncing something that did not exist.

So why listen to him when he denounces something that does exist?

Victim, Schmictim

In Mr. Blunt and Cranky’s experience, real victims rarely play the victim card. He has friends and family members who suffer from MS, cancer, paralysis, poverty, you name it: and nary a one of them asks for pity or to have slack cut for them. No, these folks tough it out and deal as best they can. Admirable.

So when people like Mitt and Ann Romney whine about people being mean to them, it does not ring true: yes, she deals with horrible illnesses and he gets a lot of crap flung at him. But any objective observer would note that it is a helluva lot easier to deal with such problems when you have hundreds of millions of dollars than it is when all you have is Medicare and Social Security. Or even less.

When the leaders of Hamas and their antagonists both whine about the other guy beating them up on the playground and taking their lunch money, it does not ring true: because both sides are killing innocent bystanders as they petulantly bomb the s*** out of each other. Both the Jewish and Palestinian peoples have been horribly victimized over the years; and their leaders should recognize that self-evident fact and work together to ameliorate the horrific suffering of their people instead of pointing fingers at the “other side” and throwing the victim card ad nauseum.

Many other examples exist, and have done so for eons: American Christians who, though they are a majority, claim to be victimized by all sorts of phantom bogeymen; the Iranian President who exports terrorists and claims to be the victim of numerous Satanic shadowy international terrorist cabals; the wealthy who complain about taxation while paying the lowest rates in nearly a century; so many people who sit atop millions of genuine victims whilst falsely claiming to be victims themselves.

In fact, these faux victims are themselves victimizing other people. And that is truly revolting.

“Popular” Does Not Always Mean “Good” or “Right”

Back in the Y-Zero-K Days, a whole raft of people told Pontius Pilate to crucify a rabble-rousing Rabbi from Nazareth. Whipped into a frenzy by the pundits and politicians and preachers of the day, the popular opinion was to kill a man who had never done a lick of harm to anyone. Today, of course, we know that they were wrong to do so.

Back in the last century, a skinny little Austrian with a good speaking voice managed to whip millions of people into a frenzy of hatred and embark upon a mission to rule the world. Millions upon millions of people died in the ensuing war, and we can see the horrible aftereffects to this day. Today, of course, we know that the German people and their allies were wrong to do so.

Today, we have lots and lots of people doing as the Pharisees and the Nazis did, and millions of people following along, whipped up into a frenzy against gays, our big-eared Prexy, immigrants, Moslems, women, and other folks. It is “popular”, and the “will of the people” to persecute these folks. We are told, for example,  that as a “Christian Nation”, the majority may impose its will upon the minority and do as we wish to them.

It would do us all well to remember the countless times in history when large groups of people have been conned into doing unspeakable things to their fellow man. In the future, people will regard us as unkindly as we today regard the gullible fools that enabled the Romans, the Nazis, the Klan, and other like-minded slimeballs.

Thought for Your Sunday: Theocracies Suck

As has been writ before, Mister Blunt and Cranky does not like Theocracies. His ancestors fled two of them to get here, where (among other things), there would be no government sponsorship of religion. And a few years later, when the government’s founding documents were written, they expressly forbade any state sponsorship of any variety of sky pilotry. Whew. Finally, safe to worship (or not) in any manner we choose.

Today, a load of Christians (mostly from Johnny-come-lately denominations) are working to undermine the law of the land, as laid down in clear, unambiguous language by the Founders. Other term for these activities include “sedition”, “treason”, and “crooked”. The people who promote these activities are then, seditious, treasonous, lying, cheats. They are also stupid f***s who apparently  cannot read history books.

Other notable societies who thought they enjoyed  the endorsement of God (by whatever name): Crusaders, Ancient Egypt and Babylon, Kings Solomon and David, the Nazis and the Russian Empire, to name but a very few.

None of these nations/states/empires are recalled for their piety. Rather, they are remembered for the atrocities and crimes they committed, and the horrible, fiery, bloody manners in which they collapsed.

So as you go to church, remember your history. And please, don’t try to tell the rest of how to worship: there is nowhere left to run, and we will have to make a stand right here. And that would pretty well destroy the nation that promised us freedom of worship.

P.S. But then, the same people who propose to limit our religious freedoms also propose the unilateral abrogation of other aspects of the social contract, so it should not surprise us that they have no respect for law or existing agreements. More on that during the week.

Mitt has BEEN Telling Us to Kiss His A** For Years

Much is being made of The Guv’s rude spokesperson, who said some impressively rude things to the press in Poland today. But Mitt (himself Himself) has been tacitly saying it for quite some time, albeit not in so many words. Every time he refuses a reasonable request by the public for information, he is telling us to place our foremost upon his hindmost, vis. and to wit;

He has refused to release the customary quantity of tax returns,

He has refused to clarify his exit dates from, and involvement in, Bain Capital,

He and his staff cleared out their computers and took the hard drives when he became the Un-Guv o’ Massachusetts,

He has provided extremely limited access to the press and non-millionaire members of the public,

and so on.  It is “kiss my  a**” in all but word. Mitt does not think that the American People have a right to know even the most basic information about their potential President. Reminds Mr. Blunt and Cranky of Nixon, and not in a good way.

Note that very little (if any) of what Mitt is hiding and how he hides it is illegal: but most people who want to have a public office understand that the public has a legitimate expectation of transparency and openness. Not Mitt, who is treating the quest for a public office as he did his private sector gigs.

This writer suggests that Mitt plant the smoocher upon his Hairy Buckeye Butt, and encourages his readers to do the same (with physical and regional customizations, of course). 

When he stops telling us to kiss his a**, we will stop telling him to kiss ours.

Mitt Romney, You Socialist Swine

Everyone knows that Mitt Romney pushed and pulled to enact universal health care in Massachusetts when he was The Guv there; everyone also knows that Barack Obama totally stole Romney’s plan and took it national (which is why Mssrs. Pawlenty, Blunt and Cranky et.al. have used the term “ObamNeycare”).

Since Mitt decided to run for the Presidency, he has shifted his stance somewhat (as in, the North Atlantic is somewhat salty, and a wee bit chilly & wet); he says that what was good public policy for a single state is Socialism for an entire nation. Hard to buy a line of hooey like that, but not impossible. So, we gave ol’ Willie the benefit of the doubt.

Until today, that is.  The Guv was in Israel, and he was loudly talking up their health care system: a system which looks one whole helluva lot like ObamNeycare. So it looks like Mitt is indeed a Socialist MoFo just like the Prexy, since he has now praised the same system at state AND national levels.

He must have just been funnin’ with us about not liking Obama’s heath care system. Or lying, so as to hide his Secret Socialist Society membership (do they give out decoder rings?). Yup, Mitt was a stinking Socialist all along, and tried to hide it: but now we see the truth.

Of course, it could be that the whole Obama/Romney/Israeli health care model is not Socialism at all, and is simply good public policy….naaah. Couldn’t be.
