A Clinton candidacy always brings the lying rat bassets out in droves, and her 2016 bid is no exception. The Teapubbies have carefully timed the Scandalism Machine to try to sink her Presidential bid. Like they did to Bubba in 1992 and 1994. And when Hillary ran for Senate. And when she was confirmed as Secretary of State. It’s all about scandalscandalscandal, every single time. Never mind that all the millions of dollars the Right Wingnuts spent digging for dirt on the Clintons ever turned up was oral sex and cigar kink. (And that was on Bill, not Hillary.)

Knowing that Secretary Clinton would run for Prexy (like everybody else did, DUH), the “Republicans” have spent loads of taxpayer dollars on “investigations” that have turned up even less than they did in the 90’s. Undeterred, they are gleefully wasting our hard-earned on these witch hunts, shining bright lights on nothing and substituting innuendo for information. And getting lots of money and assistance for their smear campaigns from rich motherf***ers in and out of the media, foreign and domestic.

In the interest of Truth, Justice, and the Amercan Way, let’s turn those spotlights around for a wee minute and shine it upon HRC’s manifold accusers, and see what we find, shall we? Oh, we shall; yes, yes we shall.

Number A: The big Clinton Email Server “Scandal”. You know, the one where Hillary had a legal server that she used legally, and disclosed everything that was legally required? Yep. Not for nothing was “scandal” enclosed by scarequotes.
Turns out that the Teabilly who is leading the charge against Mrs. Clinton is doing the same damned thing. Yes, Trey Gowdy has his OWN private email server, not that you hear much about it. This writer had to go down five pages in a Google search to find it, underneath all the regurgitated Repub talking points that pass for “news” these days.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who heads the House’s Select Committee on Benghazi, is leading the charge in calling for investigations of Clinton’s email.

Yet it’s important to note that Gowdy maintains his own domain treygowdy.com.
For example, one campaign contact email he used was info@treygowdy.com. While it’s not unusual to maintain such a thing particularly for campaign work, it’s not clear that Gowdy utilizes this email solely for political campaign work and not congressional tasks.
AlterNet asked Gowdy’s office through both a telephone inquiry followed up by an email communication to his press secretary about how he segregates work he conducts through his personal domain vs congressional work. We also inquired about where his personal email server is stored and how it is secured. We also attempted to contact Gowdy campaign manager George Ramsey, but he did not return our phone calls.

Letter 2: How about that new blockbuster book about Clintonian “Corruption”, Clinton Cash? Wow, sounds like some pretty damning stuff, if you listen to the breathless panting of the “reporters” who are “covering” the story. Ermmm…well…no… Turns out Mr. Schweizer is a paid Republican operative, who was paid lots of money to write a bulls*** hit piece:

As Crooks and Liars pointed out, Schweizer’s Government Accountability Initiative, a 501(c)(3), is funded by three conservative powerhouse donors.
First up would be the infamous Koch brothers, who contribute to most of GAI’s funding through the Franklin Center, a “free market” organization dedicated to “democratizing journalism.” Also in play is another the Koch-run Donors’ Trust, a political “slush fund,” according to the blog.
Of the total $2.2 million received in 2012, $2 million came from the Franklin Center, the Koch-funded “watchdog” organization. Perhaps coincidentally, the Franklin Center also received a $2 million contribution in 2012 from Donors’ Capital, the sister organization to Donors’ Trust.
Next is the Mercer Family Foundation, headed up by the eponymous hedge fund magnate Robert Mercer. As Crooks and Liars noted, Mercer’s main targets are usually congressmen trying to roll back the power of Wall Street. Mother Jones reported that Mercer is currently the top bankroller for Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) presidential campaign.

Finally: Everybody remember when Hillary called out the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (VRWC) and was roundly mocked for having done so? Well, gosh darn it and golly-gee-shucks, it existed then and has continued into the present day. Click the links for details.

Score from just the aforementioned wee minute of looking at the accusatory Teabaggers, Plutocrats and Pundits:
Hillary:3
Hillary Haters:0

This writer doesn’t much care for Hillary, any more than he he did for Bill. If he has to vote for her, he’ll hold his nose while so doing. But these Nixonian Ratf***ers need to be put in a cage with the rest of their rodent brethren to gnaw on each other, so that the political process can at least be slightly less infested with such vermin.

It sure would be nice to decide our 2016 votes based on facts, instead of lies spread by a load of paid “Republican” liars.

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

Any dips*** who votes for a Repub supports those despicable actions. Yes. These hateful, stupid, violent, dishonest crooks would not be in office were it not for millions of bigoted, idiotic, abusive, dishonest, thieving asshat Teapubbie voters. So if you are or vote for a “Republican”, welcome to the ranks of the Pond Scum Society.

Doubt it? Five quick examples:
Racism: Airheaded Foxbot (a  redundancy, but, hey,  what the Hell) Kristi Capel recently decried Lady Gaga’s “jigaboo” music. Then claimed she didn’t know what the word meant. Ummm… grew up in Kentucky, won a beauty pageant in Missouri, works in Cleveland, and she doesn’t know from racial slurs? Riiiiiiight. That stench you smell is NOT roses, friends, but rather the dung that fertilizes them. She still has her job, proving that racism is acceptable to Repubs.

Willful Ignorance: Idaho lawmaker doesn’t know how babies are made. Or maybe he’s just even dumber than dumb when it comes to biology. Idaho State Rep. Vito Barbieri asked if swallowing a camera would show what was happening in a uterus. Does he think oral sex causes pregnancy, or that women digest via their vaginas? Either way, he, like “republicans” in general, is far too comfortable knowing nothing. He still has his job, proving that pig-ignorance is lauded by Repubs.

Lying and Bullying: Foxbot Bull Bill O’Reilly, who clearly kissed a lot of the Blarney Stone (underneath, in the dirt, with all the other dung beetles, worms and other s***-eating lowlifes) was trying to avoid answering questions about his, well, lies. He beat on the questioner with his bumbershoot, and then tried to get the person he assaulted charged. He still has HIS job, proving that Repubs love men who lie and commit violent acts against innocent people.

Criminals: America’s favorite bulky bully, Chris Christie (proof that naming somebody after the Savior, even when done twice, cannot make them good Christians) has been called out by a judge for stealing millions of dollars from pensioners. He still has his job, proving that Repubs love love LOVE crooked motherf***ers.

Seriously, can you find a truly decent and honorable Republican anywhere (dead ones don’t count)? This blogger was raised by old-school Eienhower Republicans, and there used to much to admire about the Old Party that was once Grand. Maybe not enough to make the Young and Cranky want to join up, but there were points to respect, others to debate, and generally one could engage in reasonably civil discourse with most Republicans, even during the Vietnam war, Watergate, etc. No longer.

The GOPee has become a completely valueless party, a vast organized crime syndicate, full of idiots, secessionists, traitors, crooks, liars and other people who would, in any just society, be locked up with the keys thrown far away, instead of holding the majority of control in our once-decent nation. The idea that half of all of us share those values makes this writer cringe whenever he goes overseas, because he KNOWs that the people he encounters will be asking about our f***ed-up government, and why the Hell we all let it get like this.

The answer is mystifying to them, and depressing to your humble bloggespondent: our government is the way it is, because voter action (and inaction) has made it so. The American electorate has repeatedly shown its approval for such mendacity, wickedness, cruelty, evil and corruption via the ballot box. So our government, far from being an aberration, is in fact representative of the people. Disgusting but true.

All Teapubusicles are rotten scumballs, each and every one, electors and elected alike. F*** the lot of them sideways, with a rusty file and a sandy lubricant.

But not much better are those manifold people  with principles who idly lie around, doing nothing about it but p*** and moan, when their collective votes could right these cataclysmic wrongs in a few short election cycles.

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

This always surprises people: the Courts have ruled that news organizations can tell lies whenever they choose. Freedom of speech, don’tcha know. Jane Akre, an award-winning Journalist, was hired by Fox News affiliate WTVT to be, well, a journalist. You know, someone who reports news.

To Fox’s surprise, she and her team found some news. News that one of Fox’s sponsors did not like at all. So Fox ordered her to put some lies in the broadcast, to keep the sponsors happy and the money rolling in. Ms. Akre refused, on grounds of professional ethics.

Fox then fired her and her husband; they sued, and the court’s ruling, incredibly, made it clear that there was no law requiring that news organizations provide truthful content. None. Nada. Zippo. Zilch. Lies are A-OK for those upon whom we rely for accurate reporting.

That ruling, as we look back, opened the Falsehood Floodgates the rest of the way for politicians and their BFFs in the Infotainment Industry. One may still sue for libel, although it is very hard to win and takes years. One may sue over a false advertisement, but those cases are likewise hard to win and take years as well.

Meanwhile, Fox and their compadres repeat their lies so often in the interim, the lies wind up being believed to be true by a large majority of Americans. A few recent examples: Benghazi, Obama’s birth certificate, and much of the Michael Brown coverage.

This writer loves him some First Amendment, yes he does. However, there is no reason not to be able to require that news providers at least put a label on lies: call ’em “editorials”, or “speculative”, or “unproved”. It would be better to make the lies illegal, but the Roberts court ain’t gonna outlaw lies. Not with the current load of Bushbots and Reaganistas forming the majority, anyway.

So, Gentle Reader, remember that you really CAN’T trust anything you read in the papers or see on the TeeVee. You are being lied to 24/7/365 by at least some of the “news” sources you have heretofore relied upon for information. You’ll have to keep a line open to Snopes, FactCheck, Politifact, and other such sources before you can believe Thing One the newsies tell you.

Because in modern America, it’s legal for rich corporations, “news” outlets and politicians to lie to you whenever they want, about whatever they want, however they want.

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

Even for Speaker Boehner, this is epic lying: yesterday, he blamed the Prexy for the West Virginia chemical spill, by claiming that there are plenty of regulations already, so it must be Obama’s fault. In reality, there are loads of unregulated chemicals in our drinking water, including the batch that screwed the pooch for West Virginians recently.

As it chances, people in WV are still reporting health problems from using the supposedly “safe” water. And no one can help them, because regulations do not require the chemical manufacturer to know or provide information on possible side-effects. And so, since there’s no regulations (Boehner is truly telling some really big lies) requiring such information, nobody knows anything about this chemical.

It’s now heading down the Ohio River, and eventually will proceed through the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. And no one knows what will happen.

Because, contrary to what comes out of Boehner’s lying mouth, there are no regulations requiring such knowledge. Since there are no regulations, the manufacturer spent no money on creating such knowledge. So we do not know what’s coming at us. Libertarians and Republicans may like this situation, but the rest of us would prefer to know if we can drink the water or wash our hands in it.

John Boehner is lying as usual. Also as usual, most of the media aren’t calling him on his lies. But now, Gentle Reader, you at least know he’s lying to you.

So what are you going to do about it?

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

“The American people don’t want this bill” is a lie of truly epic dimensions, because the American people have voted FOR Obamacare, time and time again.

First, they elected Obama in 2008, and he ran on a platform that actually included even MORE health care than Obamacare delivered. That’s a vote for Obamacare.

Then they re-elected Obama in 2012, when he ran against Romney/Ryan, whose platform included ditching Obamacare. That’s a vote for Obamacare.

They also cast more votes for House Democrats in 2012 than they did for House “Republicans” (the Repubs kept the House via election rigging, gerrymandering, etc.) That’s another vote for Obamacare.

Every time Obamacare’s individual  provisions are mentioned in polls, they get huge public support. It’s just the word “Obamacare” that people view through suspicious eyes (and small wonder, given the smear campaign that Repubs have waged against  it over the years).

And that, Gentle Reader, is why the lie “The American people don’t want this bill” is the biggest Obamacare of them all. Yes, there are some people who DON’T want Obamacare, but they are in the minority.

The majority of the American People voted for Obamacare, loudly and repeatedly. It’s high time the “Republicans” respected the clearly-expressed will of the people, and get the hell out of the way if they don’t like it. Congress is supposed to work for US, not the other way around.

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

Mr. Blunt and Cranky cannot believe how stupid and gullible his fellow Americans have gotten to be. Really, he should go into used car sales or something, because the lot of you have evidently lost your critical faculties of late. Let us review:

Act One: Benghazi. It was spun by the “news” media and certain politicos as a breathtaking scandal that could doom Obama’s chances of re-election, and lots of hysterical stories were written and accusations were leveled. As time passed, we learned that a lot of the initial stories were false, wrong, or at the very least inaccurate. In the end, it turned out that the cries of “Wolf” were hysterical, manipulative crap. The truth of the matter is, people had f***ed up, heads rolled and changes had to be made, but the Prexy had nothing to do with it. The media retracted very little of what they had said, and the politicos retracted nothing. So lots of stupid people STILL think there is a Benghazi scandal, even though the wolf-criers have been proven to be liars.

Act Two: the latest IRS dustup. It too was spun by the “news” media and certain politicos as a breathtaking scandal that could doom Obama’s chances of accomplishing anything in his second term, and lots of hysterical stories were written and accusations were leveled. So lots of stupid people STILL think there is an IRS scandal, even though the wolf-criers have been proven to be liars.

Act Three: The NSA Scandal. Just like before, it is being spun as the scandal of the century, hysterical bulls*** is plentiful, and people want to throw our President our of office. Never mind that the quote Journalism end quote is a load of sloppy garbage and just as in our two previous examples, falls apart like a cheap nose wipe in the rain when subjected to scrutiny.

And what are Americans doing? Do they say “Gee whiz, they cried “Wolf” before, maybe we better wait and see what the facts are”? Oh, don’t be silly. No, just like puppets on strings they are jumping up and down, getting outraged, freaking out, and acting as if this scandal du jour is somehow different than all the other times the boys in the media and Congress have cried “Wolf” in the past. Wake the f***ing f*** up, peeps: just like before, we’ll find out that people f***ed up, and heads will roll and changes will be made. But none of this means that Obama is some sort of evil Lupine creature. No matter how many times the wolf criers may call him one.

So, why for the love of GOD, do so many of you keep believing those little f***ers when they cry wolf? Really, people, you should have learned by now to wait for proof before believing the lying wolf criers.

Mr. Blunt and Cranky

Mr. Blunt and Cranky was heading to The Place He Is Paid To Go To this morning, and heard Virginia’s Governor state (as if it were a fact) that Obama has added seven trillion dollars to the national debt.

Not true, of course, but it’s hardly uncommon to hear public figures lying, inventing “facts” whenever they like, stretching the truth, and generally saying whatever serves their purpose du jour without a single thought for truth or accuracy. And it just seems to get worse and worse.

From wack jobs like Sarah Palin who claim that the Obaminator is getting ready to kill us all, to the crazy radio guy who thinks the Prexy is the Antichrist, to multiple mouths spouting the canard that Obama upped the debt by five trillion dollars or more, there is no shortage of lying blather. Indeed, it is so prevalent that it has become commonplace.

And why does it happen? The answer is both infuriating and depressing: they make s*** up and lie because they can.

Think back, gentle reader, and ask yourself how often these zeebs get challenged by the “reporters” who work for the “news” media? Almost never. Guv McDonnell wasn’t this morning, the NPR “journalist” just let the lie fly by. And so the average schmoe believes the lies.

Crimes are committed because criminals find it worthwhile to do so. In this case, politicians, pundits and similar scumballs know that they can say any old thing that suits their sleazy, corrupt, un-American purposes.

They do it because the media lets them. They do it because we let them. If we the people insisted on punishing the lying liars, there would be fewer of them, and fewer lies being told to us.

What kind of America will we have, if we continue to encourage people to lie to us 24/7/365? Ask yourself that question, and then nut up and call the liars out. Like this post just did. If we all demand the truth, we’ll get more of it.

Mr. B & C

Mr. Blunt and Cranky might just crack a smile. This is a rare occurrence, indeed. But if this ruling holds up, there might cause for at least a bit of happiness in one American state.

You see, Minnesota has passed a law that requires politicians to tell the truth in their campaign advertisements and speeches. No doubt it will be resisted by politicos of all sorts, because, well, how would politicians communicate if they couldn’t lie?

Three’ll get you five that it gets challenged on First Amendment grounds: the manky old wankers who “represent” us will try to get the courts to believe that lying to voters is protected as “free speech”. Let’s hope the courts don’t swallow that line of hooey.

If this survives court challenges and the like, then the Cranky Fam may just have to relocate to New Sweden. No way such a bill could be enacted in Ohio.

Mr. B & C

A two-post day in honor of tomorrow’s election: this post about the Prexy, the other about the man who would replace him.  Each man has said some bull*** of his own, or course.  Today, Mr. Blunt and Cranky  shall talk about the stuff  that others say about them.  So grab your nose as we dive straight into the manure pile that is political “discourse” in these degenerate times:

“Obama will take away your guns”: there is no evidence of this. No laws, no proposals, no regulations have come from the White House on this topic during Obama’s time there. This bit o’cowflop comes from the people who make and sell guns and ammo: if you’re scared that the evil Obaminator will take away your guns tomorrow, why, you’ll buy lots and lots of them today. That means big bucks for the gun industry, and less money in your pocket.

“Obama is Bad for Business”: look at the numbers from Wall Street, Congress, and any other non-partisan business metrics indicator you care to cite. The numbers tell you the truth: The past 4 years have kicked a lot of ass for corporate profits, across all sectors.

“Obama’s War on Fossil Fuels”: America is now the world’s number-two producer of oil, right behind Saudi Arabia; we have drilled for so much gas the past three years, the price has hit the floor; and coal jobs are heading back up as we develop export markets for our black gold. If there were such a war, we wouldn’t see these numbers.

“Obama’s War on Religious Freedom”: absolute codswallop. ObamNeyCare does not infringe on the religious freedoms of American citizens in any way, shape or form. It does require certain religious organizations to obey the law, but that’s church hierarchies, not the rest of us. Natch, said hierarchies are screeching like demented, meth-addicted owls; but that’s them, not us.

And so on. So far as this writer can tell, the worst thing Obama has done has been to trust a lot of people he shouldn’t have.

Mr. B & C

Mr. Etch-A-Sketch’s campaign did, at least, tell us they were going to totally change their story whenever it suited them, so one must give them kudos for being honest about their intentions to lie. And yea, verily, they have  lived up to their promise to be lying sacks of s***. But Willard has just raised his game, as the existing lies might not have been enough to con enough people into voting for his lying a**:

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20121026/POLITICS01/210260402/1121/AUTO01/Romney–Chrysler-may-move-Jeep-production-to-China

Mitt, for those of you that don’t care to click links, lied a really big lie about Chrysler moving all Jeep production to China and blaming Obama therefore. That is, of course, totally not true (Jeep is, in fact, adding a shift in Detroit), but hey, since when has Mitt shown a big ol’ regard for the facts when there are dollars (or votes) to be grubbed?

He’s gonna have to add another car elevator to hold all of the Crowns O’ Polished Turds he has earned thus far: Willie M. Romney, the Lying Sack of S*** of The Week.

Mr. B & C
