The Torture Report proves, yet again, that Teapublicans are a load of cowards.

Here it is, if you can stand to read it: the report showed how the Bushistas, PNAC types, and “Republicans” in general shat themselves in terror after 9/11, resulting in idiot wars of choice and manifold panic-driven decisions, including the ones that involved torture.

Cowards they are, as has frequently been written on this very blog. But the Torture Report gives a horrifying view into the consequences of that cowardice, that fear, that wimpiness-concealed-by-bravado that characterizes modern Repubs. In their panic-stricken, fear-blinded, gutless, craven states of “mind”, the Bush/Cheney regime lashed out in a manner that was far beyond normal evil:
* People were tortured.
* People were tortured to death.
* The torture was completely f***ing useless, and in fact caused a lot of damage.
* Innocent people were dragooned and tortured.
* “Republicans” proposed, created and implemented these programs.
* “Republicans” STILL think we should be torturing people.

Since then, the GOP has continued to show its yellow bellies on repeated occasion: by making the Prexy keep Gitmo open (said Gitmo being full of tortured people); by not allowing the tortured people to have fair trials; and by trying to cover the whole sickening mess up, even after the world already knows what we did. Cowards, poltroons, pusillanimous dastards, faint-hearted, lily-livered scaredy-cats: that, friends, is what the GOP is composed of.

And the fact that the majority of American voters recently opted to bring in even more GOP “representatives” means that those voters are, what, themselves, exactly? Ponder that one, peeps.

Supreme Court “Republicans” are helping to Steal another Election.

Ohio’s stinking “Republican” Secretary of State John (“Yes, the kind that pays for whores”) Husted has finally hit the US Supreme Court jackpot: the five partisan Wingnuts thereon are helping “Republicans” steal yet another election:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The nation’s highest court on Monday granted an emergency plea from state officials to block a lower court’s order expanding statewide early voting days and times.

The court issued its order without an opinion or explanation, noting the court’s liberal Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Kagan would not have granted the stay. Chief Justice John G. Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia and Anthony M. Kennedy voted to grant the stay.

Ohio’s disastrous 2004 election shows the state cannot operate an election on only one day, argued attorneys for the ACLU. In papers filed in Supreme Court on Saturday, they said early voting, including Sunday “Souls to the Polls” events, have become woven into the fabric of Ohio’s democratic process.

“That election [in 2004] resulted in waiting times to vote that stretched into the day after Election Day and failed to provide meaningful access to the ballot for tens of thousands of Ohio voters,” they wrote. “Ohio thus comes to court with dirty hands.”

And the Repubs amongst the Supremes, who illegally installed an illegitimate occupant (Bush the Lesser) to the office of the Presidency, have even dirtier hands. Hands they now proudly display, filth and bloodstains plain to see.

All pretense of legitimacy is now gone, and the Roberts Court has fully revealed its true intent: the permanent takeover of our government by their ideological “soul” mates and paymasters in the GOP. Surprised? You shouldn’t be.

The only way, and by that I mean the ONLY F***ING WAY to save this country from the tender mercies of the Rightish Inquisition is for the rest of us to VOTE in this election. Vote against every Elephant on every ballot in every race. Take back the House and keep the Senate.

That way, some actual jurists can be placed on the Supreme Court, replacing the corrupt partisan Repub motherf***ers who just f***ed tens of thousands of us out of our right to vote.

Teapublicans force hospitals to close and cause infants to die, because they hate Obama.

Deny it all you want, but that is what’s happening. In Red states that have refused to take free Federal money for Medicaid expansion, hospitals are closing and babies are dying. Each and every state that is refusing Medicaid Expansion is run by Teabagging “Republicans” who hates them some Obama. Click the links if you don’t believe it. So it’s clear: these slimy creeps are willing to see you and your kids die, so just so they can go “nanny-nanny-boo-boo” to the President of the United States.

You have to wonder why an allegedly “pro-life” party would deliberately ensure the deaths of thousands of people, including infants. One also wonders why a party that loves state-level governance is passing on billions of dollars in free money. The reason is plain and simple: they hate our President and anything that has his name anywhere near it.

Today as this is being written, hospitals are preparing to close. People whose lives could have been saved are dying. And it is for petty political payback, by a bunch of vindictive “Republicans” who are willing to see innocent blood shed in order to inflict harm on our President. That’s a lot of blood on the paws of those scumbag Red politicians.

And if you vote “Republican”, Gentle Reader, there is blood on your hands, too. If you don’t love dead babies, then don’t vote for Repubs. If you don’t like dead senior citizens, don’t vote for Repubs.

If you DO vote for a GOP candidate, you express your support for deliberately causing the death of thousands of your fellow citizens. By your choice we will know you.

So, NOW the “Republicans” want to “negotiate” on Obamacare? Bulls***.

No, they don’t want to negotiate it. They never have and they never will. Short form: “Republicans” have, since 2009, actively worked to sabotage the process, even when their own ideas (like the individual mandate) got added, and liberal ideas like single payer got removed.

The ACA passed without a single “Republican” vote.  It has survived multiple repeal efforts by unhinged Teabagging Congressional “representatives”. It was judged Constitutional by the uber-conservative Supreme Court. It was validated again by the American people in the 2012 elections. And the Elephants are STILL trying to kill it, by shutting down the government. This is not negotiation.

No, the “Republicans” do not want to negotiate the ACA. They want to do by extra-Constitutional means what they could not accomplish within the law. They want to kill it. And that is all that the Boehner Brigade and Marching McConnells want to do.

Congress Spends Money. The Deficit Belongs to Them.

A rare Blunt and Cranky shout-out to President Obama for reminding Congress of its Constitutional responsibilities. His words:

“I will not have another debate with this Congress on whether or not they should pay the bills for laws they have already racked up.”

Maybe this former legal scholar will remember these words later on. We most certainly should. It has become fashionable of late to blame the Prexy for everything that is wrong with America, but the truth is: he has very little power over our fiscal situation.

Let’s focus on the Congress when it comes to taxing and spending. The only people who benefit from blaming the Executive for our crap balance sheet are the legislators who bear the actual responsibility.

For “Republicans”, It’s All About the Party, and to H*** With the People

Mr. Blunt and Cranky has been watching the fiscal “cliff” drama unfold, and has been struck by the remarkable consistency of the Repubs in the face of catastrophe: said catastrophe created by said Elephants over the past years.  And they are willing (perhaps eager) to see families starving in the streets, seniors dying in droves, and the middle class squeezed until they finally burst; so long as their party can keep on raking in the dough.

Remember: most of our deficit was run up by the Congress during the reign of Bush The Dumber. The “fiscal cliff” itself was created by “Republican” majorities over a year ago, and now they want us to believe all this is the fault of the Democrats.
