The Teapublican Shutdown was about nothing, it turns out. First it was about Obamacare, then it was about the deficit, then it was about the debt, and so on and on and on. In the end, nothing seemed to be behind the shutdown, as the stated reasons kept changing. So, it was about nothing.
And THAT, friends, is also what it accomplished. Nothing.
Remember this when next you cast a ballot.

No, the Re-pub Shutdown was not about nothing. It was about overthrowing the Constitution so as to pave the way for a corporate dictatorship. And it was about hurting people. Let’s stop trying to find rational reasons for the behavior of bratty children who hate America almost as much as they hate themselves.
It was about garnering up a new base, and fundraising, as the “Republican” base was a shambles. It was a scam from the planning stages to what we see today.
This is not the end of this story. America’s Extremists will not give up
their destructive path. Their goal is to bring down the government &
they have lots of money.
Well then, the rest of us will have to arouse the somnolent masses.
